Night markets or “night bazaar”, new market concept.
When we talk about night bazaar´s, better known as night markets we are refering to those markets that open their doors when the traditionals close. These markets that open their doors during the night you can find all kinds of items, from clothes and games to different food stalls and live music.
These markets typically operate from 7 pm until after midnight and they´re usually outdoors, where you can enjoy a good meal while you can shop and dance to live music.
The night bazaar is a new and more dynamic concept in which you can enjoy a different evening with numerous amenities.
Where does this idea come from?
The culture of night bazaar comes from Asian cities such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapour or Thailand where we can find hundreds of markets like those ones.
It is such a revolutionary idea that many cities like New York and Barcelona have created events with this concept.
Brooklyn has created a night market called the “Brooklyn night Baazar”. This is an event that started on November 1st. of this year and will continue throughout next year. On Fridays and Saturdays a space is enabled in the Greenpoint area to create an authentic night market with a great atmosphere. Food, music, clothes and games are all the varieties that we can find together to enjoy on a Friday or Saturday night in the city that never sleeps.
Moreover, Barcelona has been carrying it out for five consecutive years with the “Shopping night”. This is an event to boost trade, culture, cuisine and the lifestyle of Barcelona. Unlike the “Brooklyn night Baazar” the “Shooping night” in Barcelona is carried out on one night only, that is December 4th in the popular road of “Passeig de Gràcia”.
